Free Skyrim physics patch

HDT Physica Extension is a free Skyrim mod that uses the Havok physics engine and applies it to most game elements. You’ll see beautiful swishing hair or flowing skirts, adding to the gorgeous graphics in this epic fantasy title. It changes how objects currently bounce around to making them move more smoothly. Other add-ons that provide extra functionality include TUDM Guard Armor Replacer Patch, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, Guards Armor Replacer Body Mod Patches, and TUDM RSChildren Patch.

The mod developer created HDT Physica Extension to provide fluid movement in Skyrim while running and fighting. Even while standing still, the heaving of the torse while breathing looks better. It has become so popular, that many other mods are using it.

From bounce to flow

The original Skyrim physics engine was impressive by standards of those days. Still, there were some aspects that could have been improved. One of these was how some objects moved while performing actions in the game. Some examples include stiff hair and clothing on the characters.

To solve this issue, HDT Physica Extension makes use of the Havok physics engine for better movement. You’ll see the hair fall neatly on shoulders or sway in the wind. Some physical aspects have also been improved, specifically during running and fighting.

The flying cape

You’ll find a few add-ons that provide capes in Skyrim. While it wasn’t a standard feature, players quickly grabbed the chance to run around looking like a medieval Superman. HDT Physica Extension enhances these items by making them move properly in the wind or during combat.

Other mods using these features

As evidence of the popularity of HDT Physica Extension, you’ll find more than 50 other mods that need this one as the base. If you don’t install it, there’s a chance these other mods won’t work correctly. Some examples include Elona- Servants of Gods Followers, Jackelyn- Custom Voiced Chinese Follower, and Rosemarie- Elemental Mage Follower - Standalone.

Go with the flow

HDT Physica Extension is excellent in adding new fluid motions to usually static or bouncing effects. The movements will look more realistic, making the gameplay more enjoyable.

While the mod has become increasingly popular, there are instances where it doesn’t install correctly. You’ll need to uninstall it and follow the instructions again.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
